Frequently Asked Questions

The following is a list of FAQs.  We are very aware that we cannot anticipate every question that might surface, so we encourage you to contact us directly if you do not find an answer to your question on this page.  

  • Are your classes facilitated by an instructor?  Yes, all our courses are live-facilitated, which means you will have an instructor and will feel very much as if you were sitting in a classroom.  Except, you can do this from the comfort and privacy of your home, or any location you have a reliable internet connection!  
  • Do I need to download any software?  No, we will send you a link from our ZOOM account the evening before your class.  When you are ready to join the class, simply click the link.  Plan on joining the class 15 minutes prior to the time in order to test your connection.
  • What if I miss a class, can I get a refund?  SST can provide a refund if you cancel a class 24 hours in advance of the first session.  If you miss a class for any reason, or try to join a class more than 10 minutes after the start time, you will be removed from the course and no refund will be given.  You would need to purchase a new class in order to begin the process over again.
  • Can I participate in the class impaired by alcohol or other drugs?  No.  We allow our facilitators to use their discretion to remove participants who appear to be under the influence, disruptive, or abusive.  Should you be removed for those reasons you will not be offered a refund.
  • Is it "safe" to use Zoom to attend my course?  Yes.  Zoom is a very safe and secure site.  
  • Will I receive a Certificate of Completion for this course? Yes.  Provided that you attend all sessions, and complete the pre and post exams and participate in the class, you will receive a Certificate within 24 hours of completion.  We can also send a Certificate of Completion to the person who referred you to the course, if you provide their name and email address at registration.
  • Why do you need a state-issued photo ID uploaded to you?  Because you are attending this course as the result of a DOT violation, Company Policy violation or DUI, it is critical that you can prove that you are the person who registered and took the course.  One way we can confirm your identity is with a state-issued ID.  Your ID is deleted from our system once you have completed the course.
